Public Art Committee

2016-2017 sculpture program

Cultural Pedestrians Sculpture

GO Art is the cornerstone project of the Maryville Public Art Committee.

To enrich the lives of our citizens and visitors, provide art education and continue the revitalization of our historic downtown Courthouse square, MPAC curates a revolving collection of temporary sculptures. Each May it's out with the current and in with new sculptures.

Yippee! In May 2016, our program grew with the addition of another sculpture location on 4th Street.

So what's the natural complement to our GO Art, Gallery of Outdoor Art? Well, indoor art of course!
MPAC is thrilled to announce the first installation of BIG Art! Look for the BIG art logo on any door downtown and hop on in to have a look. We promise, they won't bite.

A grand Shout-Out to all these friendly art-loving businesses in Downtown Maryville who are proudly displaying juried art from Regional artists!

The installation will change 3 times a year - so certainly you'll want to check back. Most of these artworks are for sale.

If you find a piece that needs to make a home with you, just contact the artist and they know what to do. If you are an artist interested in submitting your work for inclusion in the October installation, send us an email (use the contact link up above).

Art Rhythm and Brews

Maryville's historic downtown will transform into a 21 and over street festival celebrating ART! Specifically our new sculptures.

But it's not just art. Add in live music and a variety of beverages and you have a street party!

Geocaching: The Maryville Public Art Committee has planted an unspecified number of geocaches to encourage participants to explore downtown Maryville.

Tours: The Maryville Public Art Committee offers school tours and a 4-block walk to each outdoor sculpture installation. We are also prepared to bring videos, images, and other materials to those in the community unable to attend.
